Cleanup calendar : Newest | Earlier this month | September | August | July | Old | Instructions

Please read Wikipedia:Cleanup process for instructions on maintaining this page. There may be more suitable pages for requests, see the resources for collaboration box on the right.

For articles that just need wikification, you should use the wikify template. See Category:Articles that need to be wikified for articles that need wikifying.

If an article needs further cleaning up, add cleanup to the top of the article. To see articles with this tag added, see Category:Cleanup

Some editors prefer that helpers work on leftovers and older articles, just to deal with them and get them out of the way. See the cleanup calendar for requests from previous months. But either preference, new or old; all help is appreciated. If you have a cleanup routine, add your name and your routine preferences (how often, old/new articles, what subjects, etc ) to the cleanup routine list.

• The Bialystok School of Public Administration - contains no prose. RickK 22:48, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• Tlacaelel - unwikified text dump. Copyvio? RickK 21:20, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• Saumya Meattle - an Indian dot-com businessman. Does anyone have any views as to whether he is notable? I'm in no rush to delete, but I really don't know if this is encylopedic or vanity. Orpahaned and a stub, BTW. --rbrwr± 19:59, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)
• Gattaca World - This seems to be a description of the world portrayed in the movie Gattaca, however it seems to be written as fact not fiction. Could be encredibley confusing to someone not familiar with the movie since it refers to events that haven't occured yet!
• Robert de Herle - another one of those articles about Lord Wardens of the Cinque Ports that are rambling, disordered and unwikified. Deb 19:20, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)
• Knife throwing - needs wikification, expansion and picture. It's just some bare bones. Mgm|(talk) 17:44, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• Mpbot--is this notable? needs explanation if it's to be kept. Meelar (talk) 16:03, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)

• Irwin Union Bank, Columbus, Indiana: PD text dump. Lupo
• North Christian Church: "In detail" section is a PD text dump. Lupo
• Alapana and the 3 stubs it points to. Impossible for non-specialist to understand - e.g; defines how an alapana is chosen, but not what it is. Do we need all 4 articles? Merge into 1, or even merge all 4 into raga. A real subject here, but it needs help. --Cje 09:05, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)
• Bettina Bunge - POV, apparently written by a non-native English speaker. RickK 07:20, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• Blue eyes - unwikfied. Is this true? RickK 07:11, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• I'm dropping a link to the people working on the IBM article. I'll ask them to verify and merge. Mgm|(talk) 09:10, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• King Soopers - unwikified text dump, bizarre nonsense. RickK 07:09, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• As far as I can see, the article isn't nonsense. The chain has an official website. Mgm|(talk) 15:19, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• a new store owned by kids thirteen years of age or younger opened? RickK 21:14, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• Huckster - needs to be rewritten for a more generic meaning of the term. RickK 06:04, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• Hexslinger - Goes with the above. RickK 06:10, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• Why not merge the two into an article on the RPG mentioned? I doubt there's much else to say on the individual subjects. Mgm|(talk) 09:14, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)
• Lab-on-a-chip--needs cleaning to get to coherent, encyclopedic style. Meelar (talk) 05:46, Oct 7, 2004 (UTC)

• Marine Hospitals - Big ol' text dump with no wikis, no formatting, some one-on-one chatting at the end. Nice start, though. - Lucky 6.9 20:16, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)

• Hapgoood, Possible Worlds - Another of our wild, strange contributions. Peter O. (Talk) 06:40, Oct 5, 2004 (UTC)
• Raymond V. Damadian - needs wikification and POV cleanup. JamesMLane 05:08, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)
• I've done some editing and wikification. Cleanup no longer necessary. The article could use some expanding. JoJan 08:23, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)
• Standard gravitational parameter - possibly written by a non-native speaker of English.
• I didn't see anything odd except the opening phrase "is a shorthand for", which I have reworded. -R. S. Shaw 09:15, 2004 Oct 6 (UTC)
• Jack Zipes - probably notable enough to keep, but this is the epitome of vanity. RickK 23:29, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)
• Først & sist - unwikified. RickK 23:15, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)
• formatted, added stub notice. Mgm|(talk) 20:51, Oct 5, 2004 (UTC)
• Sasha Cohen - unwikified, POV, ugly. RickK 23:10, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)
• Victor Lombardi - unwikified. Was going to list it on VfD, but "Victor Lombardi" +"Noise Between Stations" gets 2200 Google hits. RickK 22:59, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)
• Cray 3 - Huh? RickK 22:36, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)
• It seems like it's a model of Cray. The Cray starts of with a POV sentence and is just a collection of links to other articles like this. If it's notable, someone should merge it all, but I've got no clue whether it is. Mgm|(talk) 08:25, Oct 5, 2004 (UTC)
• Fred Ashley White - is there even an article there? RickK 22:21, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)
• formatted. The terms described make me think he's a brain surgeon. Could someone check? Mgm|(talk) 08:21, Oct 5, 2004 (UTC)
• No, he's being portrayed as a dentist. The whole thing appears high on the bogosity scale. Why they do this I don't know. -R. S. Shaw 10:24, 2004 Oct 6 (UTC)
• Evidently a vanity article, "supported" by 2 other articles. The White's sign article is superficially plausible, but the symptom described does not seem to be known as White's sign; that apparently was coined in imitation of the related (and actually used) Battle's Sign. See for instance medhelp. Looks as if persistence was involved. Earlier someone got his "White's sign" and bio (as a dentist) into WhoNamedIt, and this was wildly cited on Wikipedia (as "Laureate" for a while). The second "supporting" article, White's butterfly sign is much more bizarre, relying on a passing mention of a "white butterfly" xray image in a Newsweek article that is used as a reference. Maybe someone was hitting the nitrous oxide too heavily. -R. S. Shaw 23:37, 2004 Oct 6 (UTC)
• The article needs to be deleted - it's bogus. The significance of 'CSF otorrhoea' and 'CSF rhinorrhoea' (always so called) has been known for a long time. I have not tried to research it as a history of medicine topic, but the general belief among the doctors I know is that it goes back probably for centuries. To my certain knowledge, it was part of standard teaching in UK/Commonwealth medical schools in the first half of the 20th century (well before White was born), and even then it was regarded as old knowledge. It is not the sort of sign that needs an eponym, it's too obvious - you crack your skull, you leak CSF, depending on the site of the fracture. I wouldn't be surprised if some recognition of the significance of CSF leaks went back to early Arabic or Greek physicians. Similarly with the effects of concussive injury - this knowledge is not as old, but it's certainly much older than White, and how would a dentist become experienced in blast injury chest radiographs anyway? If someone has introduced these eponyms, they are amazingly ignorant. More likely the whole thing's a spoof - do we have any evidence that White even exists? Rhd 09:21, 2004 Oct 8 (UTC)
• There is some evidence that a person like the one described in the bio at WhoNamedIt exists. The American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology newsletter at aaomp.org lists Fred A. White, DDS of Citra, Florida as a new member, 2002-3. The bio mentions Florida and "West Marion Community Hospital", and Citra, FL is in Marion County. There is a phone number available for a Fred White of Citra. -R. S. Shaw 04:43, 2004 Oct 9 (UTC)
• Ellen Nikolaysen - unwikified. RickK 21:47, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)

• Ula-Class - unwikified text dump. RickK 21:09, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)
• Sousveillance - needs POV cleanup. Peter O. (Talk) 19:30, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)
• This needs to be moved to some other title, since the word "Sousveillance" is a neologism which User:Glogger claims to have invented and is spreading around the Internet showing how his word has gotten credence by having an article about it at Wikipedia. RickK 20:52, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)
• - IMO this should be merged (history and text) with Inverse surveillance, if only bcz it was incompetantly or maliciously created on top of User:The Anome's move of Sousveillance to Inverse surveillance, in order to resist that (IMO appropriate) move. Any well-informed admin can make that move, but it should IMO not be done w/o a definitive decision that there are not two separate subjects (despite the apparently wide opinion that Sousveillance should only exist as a redir, and the apparent insistence of others that there must be an article by that name). Unless we are prepared to protect the redir from being overwritten, doing the merge could amount to a decision to go thru a long series of increasingly confusing remergings. --Jerzy(t) 07:17, 2004 Oct 6 (UTC)

• Bias quickly gets lost, and the entire thing is a cross between an article and a disambiguation page. It should probably become a disambiguation page, and the larger sections (bias in electrical engineering) should be split up and checked. I'm playing the part of the man with the plan sans time here. :-) --JRM 18:54, 2004 Oct 4 (UTC)

• Custodial rape is a serious human rights problem around the world. Unfortunately, the person who created the article was a non-custodial father who inserted his own definition of "custodial rape" which has to do with his not getting to see his kids. I have completely rewritten it to match the actual real definition but it needs attention. -- Antaeus Feldspar

• Graffiti needs some text tightening and info verification in some of the later sections (especially "Aerosol or 'spray can' art", "Graffiti Art Battle", and "Street art"), restoration of some deleted info (see Talk:Graffiti), and trimming of the references and external links. Expansion of the historical section, coverage of the transition into the 20th century, and more on the legal aspects would be neat too.
