The Long Island Project is a 2006 comedy film directed by Eric Norcross and Francisco Pina.

Plot[edit]

A group of industrialists file for a movement to secede the region of Long Island from the State of New York to formulate the first ever socialist State of Long Island. During the course of their movement they quickly learn that fighting the fight of hard-core New York politics isn't easy or friendly.

The is a 73 minute film was shot on location in New York City various towns in Long Island as well as Hoboken, and Fort Lee, New Jersey, and Washington, DC.

Trivia[edit]

For a film shot on a shoe-string budget, it's quite amazing that it was successfully achieved the time frame it took the filmmakers to complete it.
